2048x1024 and 1366 Ko for the main dds

Unfortunately for the S076 cars no templates can't be found you have to use the dds files.

I have the same problem. The image size is correct (2048x1024), the resolution is 72 dpi, but the dds file size is twice bigger then the original of the mod

I check that asap and i ll tell you if we change the maximum weight up to 2.3 mo.

OK got it. Use DXT1 compression instead of DXT5 and check the rendering.

I am not a specialist of DX compression so if anyone has some infos about the differences, he's welcome.

It sounds the rules are

DXT1: car body DXT3 or DXT5: windows and wheels

So as you just need to paint car body you need only DXT1.

For rFactor, DXT5 should always be used. unlike GTL and the GTR series, in rFactor the the Alpha level is used to control how shiney the car body is. Using DXT1 will make the car super shiney as the alpha layer is discarded, and DXT3 uses a 8bit alpha (i think).

if the file size needs to be shurnk, the best way is the make the image smaller, say from 2048 to 1024. remember it must be done by the power of 2
