duncan a dit :  nissan man a dit : we looking into the ferrari physics and noticed that the big reason the car has issues is because it's on the LM72 tires which have about 10% less grip than all the other cars on avons. I think just putting us on avons will solve most of the problems.   Hi Nissan Man I looked inside the files today and i wonder whether the 10% you talked about are not referring to the AIGrip parameter. In this case using avons won't change anything since this parameter is the gip for AI. This parameter is used to make AI more skilled. That's why sometimes you find them really fast in sectors you can't do the same even being an alien Could you try these tires and tell me if you think it's an improvement for you. Thx

sorry for my late relpy, I have been in the process of moving for the last few weeks. My family bought a house and we sepent 2 weeks getting it ready to move in, moved, had all sorts of problems, and to top it off i'm a college student too.

as for the tires, i'll have my team test them to see which ones are suitable and get back to you asap. If you use car stat to look at the tire grip and look really close (you have to zoom the graph in) you will see that the tire grip for lateral loads for the ferrari is 1.38 where all the other cars is 1.44. it has nothing to do with the AI tire grip.

After halfway in the race I took the VRL-Blitz BMW from Kristof Engelen, who drove excellent to a solid podium in his first day of driving this mod. I had some problems getting used to driving consistent laps and drove some 2:42's and even 2:43's, but after a while my lap times were finally going down... until I saw the "CON"-field in L2RES turn red and a while later Mr. Server told me to turn it back on again (even though I was just driving). I exited rFactor, pressed Stop and Start on L2RES and started rFactor back up after I turned Spectator off. I rushed back on track, got my lap back I think and drove a lot more consistent from than on. In the last 5 laps I decided to have a little bit more fun and was man-handling my car and suddenly I was 1,2 secs faster than my previous pb! Finally discovered how to be fast with the BMW :).

I think I finished third in the end, but I'm not sure .

My Final Report for this test race

- Everything ran fine.

- 20 Teams on 30 was not enough for a good test

- Esc Required well done for nearly everyone. Just Freddy who didn't require esc though he did it.

- L2RIR off. If you're off, i tell you "YOU ARE OFF" it doesn't mean "emergency ejection ". Unless i tell you "TURN L2RIR ON" , you keep on driving. Don't forget if it's a simple disco with pause key you can reconnect, check the green box "con".

- Esc in pit is one less lap penalty. But it's true if L2RES regards you as being in pit. There is a delay between your real status and L2RES knowledge about it. So if you want to escape in pit check the box pit. Green means you're in pit.

- Freddy Hell, your plate is 13. It should be 31. You received an email (to all team managers) on January 16th about that.
